Removing Windows Update breaks activation. The image will need to be serviced offline. You can do this by running NtLite in Live Mode and removing the servicing stack. Making Minimum with RDP server even smaller: This OS should work for gaming - note that adding drivers will require more space :-).
Remove Wi-Fi drivers, and NTFS compressed to 1.29GB/LZX compressed to 856MB (went up to 950 on boot due to LZX files being written back uncompressed). Removing Tablet PC/InputApp causes issues getting through OOBE, and still can be activated. LTSC-x86-absolute-min.xml: this is close to the minimum OS possible that still installs and works adequately.
Windows 10 LTSC 2019 Minimum with RDP server-x86.xml: this works well for pretty much everything I do.
